Our most popular honey varieties are now available in beautiful glass jars! We have packed the finest natural honeys and the most exotic delicacies from Lapland into these jars. Although the selection is still small, we strive to expand it every year.

We are constantly trying to find an alternative to our plastic containers, but it is not easy to find a material that is both lightweight and possibly transparent. However, in our online store, the weight of an individual glass jar is not as significant, which is why we have decided to offer our honey in glass packaging as well.

* Lappi-Honey products have their own unique jar design. We opted for plastic jars to enable honey sales at market events. Due to their weight, glass jars are not as environmentally friendly as thought. The risk of breakage is also higher, leading to unreasonable burdens for sellers carrying heavy boxes. The plastic jars are designed to fit as many as possible into a cardboard box and don't require separate protective material.

* Food packaged in plastic is safe and well-preserved. From an environmental perspective, it's important to consider the entire ecological footprint of the product. Plastic doesn't impart odors or flavors to food. The raw materials used for packaging are strictly regulated. Additionally, it is a lightweight material, leading to lower emissions during transport compared to glass or metal. As long as plastic packaging is not disposed of in nature but recycled, plastic is an excellent option for food packaging.
